Cutoff 1: Colony 6 Cutoff 2: Jade Face Cutoff 3: Meyneth Shrine Cutoff 4: Mechonis Core Other Missables ☕ Buy me a coffee
This checklist is organized by story cutoff point, in the order they occur. Complete everything listed under a cutoff before triggering that cutoff's boss or event. One convention used throughout: many weapon and armor appearances ("fashion" skins) are missable but unlock permanently to your game data rather than to a specific save file — so you can save, buy or obtain the item, then reload your save and keep the unlocked appearance. This applies to every shop and drop skin noted below.
Cutoff 1 — Refugees Move to Colony 6
Triggered by completing the quest "The Road Home" (available after Satorl Marsh). This cutoff happens at a point of your choosing, not automatically — Juju gives you a clear warning before the refugees relocate.
"The Road Home" is mutually exclusive with the later quest "To Colony 6!". If you skip "The Road Home" before meeting Miqol in Hidden Machina Village, Dulland offers the substitute "To Colony 6!" instead (better EXP/gold reward, but it starts Colony 6 reconstruction all the same).
Refugee Camp Quests
These NPCs move to Colony 6 once reconstruction begins. Missable quests are marked with a stopwatch icon in your quest log. A few Refugee Camp quests are not missable — such as Earnest's — because he does not relocate.
Spirits Raised is generally the better choice — it grants slightly higher overall affinity for the Colony 6 area and unlocks more quests there later.
A surprise quest that appears once you approach the waterfall in the southeast part of Gaur Plain.
Additional Missable
The source lists this under the Colony 6 cutoff, but it actually triggers later — after the party leaves for Valak Mountain. Don't expect it during the refugee window; it's grouped here as an Alcamoth-tied missable.
Cutoff 2 — Jade Face (End of Mechonis Field)
Fighting the boss Jade Face at the end of Mechonis Field permanently locks Sword Valley and Galahad Fortress. Finish everything in both zones first.

You'll need two extra Red Frontiers for Colony 6 Reconstruction later. They're obtainable elsewhere, but consider grabbing them now.
You'll need two extra Art Core Coils for Colony 6 Reconstruction later. They're obtainable elsewhere, but consider grabbing them now.

Cutoff 3 — Meyneth Shrine (Agniratha)
The boss at the Meyneth Shrine at the end of Agniratha locks Mechonis Field (including Machina Refuge), Agniratha, and the Hidden Machina Village quests that require Mechonis Field access.

Machina Refuge — Quests (Mechonis Field)
Agniratha — Terminal Quests (14)
Once all 14 are complete, interact with the last terminal at Central Tower to receive the Cloister Key, which unlocks the door on 3F leading to a secret area.
The source lists "Agniratha Beautification 1" twice; since it states 14 quests total, the second entry is rendered here as "Beautification 2". Verify the exact in-game name during your playthrough.

You'll need 1x Fortune Feather, 2x Lewisia Silvers, and 3x Blue Light Amps for Colony 6 Reconstruction later. Obtainable elsewhere, but consider grabbing them now.

Cutoff 4 — Mechonis Core (Central Factory)
The game's biggest cutoff. The boss at Mechonis Core (after the Central Factory revisit) expires everything in Central Factory and every quest in or involving Alcamoth.

Central Factory — Unique Monsters
Alcamoth — Quests
A long list — this should match the order shown in your in-game Quest Log.
Mutually exclusive with the later quest "Investigating Satorl". Neither is clearly better — "Talia's Research" gives more Alcamoth reputation, "Investigating Satorl" gives more EXP/gold (being a later-game quest).
During this quest, accept "Protect the Capital!" from Lecrough — it's only available while Brave Actions is accepted but not yet completed.
See the note at Brave Actions above.
You choose between Rozeal and Ricoth. Rozeal is a slightly better choice for affinity gains.
Which quest you get depends on the choice made in "How Do I Feel?".
While Kurralth is on Valak Mountain, you can trade with him for Mumkhar's Razor, a missable Easter egg obtainable only during that window.
Frontier Village — Questline (Alcamoth-tied)
Listed as a Satorl Marsh quest in-game.
Listed as an Alcamoth quest in-game.

You'll need 2x Black Styrene and 2x Angel Engine X for Colony 6 Reconstruction later. Obtainable elsewhere, but consider grabbing them now.

Other Missables
The cutoffs above capture most of the game's major missable content. A few extras don't tie to a single cutoff point.
Missable Achievements
🏆 Heartwarming — Have a Heart-to-Heart go as smoothly as possible.
🏆 Heartbreaking — Have a Heart-to-Heart go as badly as possible.
🏆 The Brave Protectors — Get to know all of the Defence Force soldiers in Colony 9.
Heartwarming and Heartbreaking are missable because there are only a limited number of Heart-to-Hearts (63 total) — you could clear all of them without ever picking the best or worst option. The Brave Protectors appears to be a technical quirk: speak with Andreas, Dorothy, Kantz, Emmy Leater, Miller, Minnie, Monica, Nic, and Raoul in Colony 9. It may become impossible if you invite Nic to Colony 6 before talking with all of them.
